02 · THE PROCESS

Our stamp is
a flowchart.

The triple spiral under every foot is a working diagram, not a logo: earth gets blended, water throws it, fire has the last word. Throwing, drying, and firing one piece is about three weeks of shop time. Your ready date is still 6–8 weeks standard, or 3–4 weeks rush, from deposit plus written specs. The kiln queue sets that date; the clay gets no shortcut.

Earth · iron-rich stoneware

Three stonewares and a fist of native iron, blended in-house. Every batch is wedged by hand and rested a full week—clay remembers how it was treated, and ours is treated well.

II.

Water · thrown, never molded

Every form is pulled on a slow wheel—there isn't a mold in the building. Twelve shapes, each the survivor of a few hundred attempts, trimmed to a foot worth flipping over.

III.

Fire · cone 10 reduction

Fired twice: a bisque, then fourteen hours in reduction. We starve the flame of oxygen, it raids the glazes for more, and it pays us back in color no two pieces share.

How a quote becomes an order

Pieces and runs start on the Custom page. Build a ticket, send it, and we reply within two business days. That ticket is an estimate, held within ten percent while specs settle, and it binds only when both sides confirm the same USD figures by email. We then invoice that figure. There is no cart here and no card field on this site.

Pickup, drop-off, and the Chip Promise

Standard runs are ready in 6–8 weeks; rush is 3–4 weeks at plus 20 percent. Pickup is at 101 Bennington St, East Boston, showroom Thursday through Sunday, 11–6. Boston-area drop-off is $20.00 USD and free on invoices of $500.00 USD or more. Unused stock may return within 30 days; custom work is final once fired. A chip in the first year of normal kitchen use is replaced once, free.

Four house glazes, no upcharge

Tenmoku, Celadon, Bone Speckle, and Ember are mixed in the studio and fired in reduction at cone 10. Any form takes any glaze at the published tag. A custom recipe is a separate $127.00 USD development, named for you and retired from the public lineup. Dishwasher and microwave are ordinary use; broiler, direct flame, and freezer-to-hot-oven are not.
